Notably, cybersecurity was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q1 2024, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of digital media and batteries, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the automotive industry, Ferrari had the greatest increase in references for cybersecurity in Q1 2024, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 53 cybersecurity-related sentences in the company's filings - 2% of all sentences - and an increase of 179% in Q1 2024 compared with Q1 2023. Ford Motor’s mentions of cybersecurity rose by 48% to 40 and LKQ’s by 182% to 31 and Aptiv’s by 383% to 29 and Tesla’s by 200% to 27.
