An on-site poll of Just Auto’s readership suggests that a large majority in the automotive sector globally expect Artificial Intelligence (AI) to have a significant impact or huge impact on their business operations in the future.
The snap on-site poll asked readers: How do you think AI will impact your business over the next twelve months?
The multiple choice responses came in as follows:
- Huge impact and a fundamental game changer – 242 responses
- Significant impact, but will not alter our performance/strategy that much – 167 responses
- Minor impact – 135 responses
- Neutral/no impact – 111 responses
- Total responses – 655 (poll open to Just Auto readers 3 July to 6 December 2023)
GlobalData analyst Jonathon Poskitt said: “Clearly, AI is going to impact businesses up and down the automotive industry’s value chain – from the supply of raw materials through to final sale and retail.
“It is interesting to note that so many respondents see AI as a potential game changer over a short time horizon. We’re on the cusp of significant change ahead. The winners will be the companies that grasp the nettle of the AI opportunities ahead.”
