In partnership with Air Liquide the company celebrated the first successful liquid hydrogen (LH2) refueling of the truck where cryogenic liquid hydrogen at minus 253 degrees Celsius was filled into two 40 kg tanks mounted on either side of the chassis.
Daimler Truck also invested in product development through the opening of a new product engineering and IT center, the Daimler Truck Innovation Center India (DTICI) in Bangalore. The center will focus on research, product engineering and IT capabilities, including vehicle engineering, powertrain engineering, software development for electronic control units, computer aided engineering (CAE), computer aided design (CAD) and IT programming.
